East Aurora School District 131 is proposing a tax levy of $14.3 million.
The district will have a Truth in Taxation hearing to discuss the levy at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Service Center, 417 5th St.
Last year’s proposed levy was $13.6 million, and the district received $12.2 million, said Anthony Turiciano, district business manager.
Based on a 10 percent growth in the tax base, district officials predict the district will receive $13.1 million from 1994 property-tax receipts. The district’s tax rate is expected to drop to $4.18 per $100 of assessed valuation from $4.35.
