Village officials expect to begin interviewing candidates this week for the position of village engineer/community development director.
About 35 applications have been received, according to village administrator Steven Stricker. The previous engineer, Mike Cozzo, left late last fall.
A committee of several Village Board members is expected to start meeting with candidates soon, then send a recommendation to the full board. Stricker said he hopes to have a new engineer at work by March 1.
