In “Wounds of war” (Perspective, Jan. 15) by Merrill Goozner, discussing Japan’s wartime guilt in the Asian theater, there was only one small mention of Pearl Harbor. Why was this dastardly crime hardly discussed? Why must the United States always be on the defensive when dealing with Japan?
