Amtrak will eliminate more than a fifth of the jobs at an Indiana maintenance shop as part of its plan to overcome a $200 million budget deficit. The U.S. passenger railroad said it will cut about 212 of its 1,029 positions at the locomotive- and car-overhaul plant in Beech Grove, Ind.
