Edward P. Cunningham, 89, of Palos Heights, who was instrumental in the development of Chicago Walgreen drug laboratories, died Sunday in Friendship Village Health Center in Schaumburg. He was a registered pharmacist who joined Walgreens in 1927 and was a plant supervisor for 40 years. Survivors include a son, Michael; a daughter, Patricia McDonald; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday in Sheehy and Sons Funeral Home and a mass followed in Incarnation Church, both in Palos Heights.
