I am in full agreement with David Thomas (Op-Ed, Jan. 23) concerning Americans not getting enough ordinary exercise. I am a 75-year-old woman who races my son for the snow shovel in the morning, walks instead of driving and climbs the stairs instead of taking the elevator. I go to the YMCA twice a week and feel like a 50-year-old. No pains anywhere, and I attribute it to careful eating and good common sense. You don’t need a NordicTrack when you have two good legs.
