James R. Heller, 80, former chairman of Heller Seasonings & Ingredients Inc. in Bedford Park, died Wednesday in his home in Northfield. The firm, founded by his uncle in 1893, remains family owned. Mr. Heller was chairman from 1954 to 1984 and was active in the company until his death. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Marybeth; two daughters, Mary Capobianchi and Kathryn Dahan; a son, John; a sister; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Mass was said Friday in Wilmette.
