The Republican view of the world:

A teenage girl is making out with her boyfriend, and in the heat of passion, she says: “Oh, baby-let’s do it. Just think of the welfare check that I can look forward to if I get pregnant!”

It’s an absurd scenario. Cutting welfare benefits to teenage mothers will not prevent teenage pregnancies; it will increase the number of women and children living in poverty.
