There appears to be a temporary shortage of temps.
Companies have been cutting staffs in recent years and increasingly using temporary employees to fill the holes.
Now Snelling Personal Services says that two-thirds of its 250 offices are reporting a decrease in the number of temps available for long-term assignments.
In fact, the company says, it’s becoming more difficult to find temporary workers for assignments of any duration.
