We wish to question the priorities of the Animal Rights people who found time to march and picket the Shedd Aquarium recently-on behalf of the death of a very well-cared-for and nurtured dolphin-when at the same time, the city was in shock with the tortured and murderous death of a helpless 2-year-old in a hellhole of a foster home.

Would not their time have been better spent marching and picketing the offices of DCFS over the reckless and uncaring placement of children in these terrible and horrendous environments?

This frightening example of misguided priorities makes one wonder if there truly is any hope for our society.
