Florence M. Smith, 84, of Crystal Lake former owner and operator of several taverns, died Sunday in Canterbury Care Center in Crystal Lake. Survivors include two daughters, Sally Swan and Darlene Etling; a sister; a brother; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Querhammer Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
