As I drive the Stevenson Expressway every day, doing 55 m.p.h. is like standing still. Everyone else is passing me because they are going way over the speed limit.
It is obvious that the state police cannot handle this task alone, so I think the Chicago police should return to patrolling the expressways. Keep the state police handling the accidents, and have both state and city police take care of the speeders.
