Get your bikes in gear for the Frank Lloyd Wright Bicycle Tour at 2 p.m. Sunday. Guides lead bikers along the tree-lined streets of Oak Park to see 24 Wright homes. The 90-minute jaunt allows visitors to view homes off the beaten track, such as the William Fricke House and the Edwin H. Cheney House. The fee is $6, $4 seniors and under 18 (not recommended for cyclists under 10). Call 708-848-1976.

Books, books for everyone

A little flute music
Mary Zimmerman, who is directing the Chicago Opera Theater’s production of “The Magic Flute,” views Mozart’s comic opera as “a story about growing up and transforming on one enchanted night.” To add to the enchantment, children wearing animal headdresses will join the adults performing this musical fairy tale. “The Magic Flute” runs Friday through June 11 at Merle Ruskin Theatre, 60 E. Balbo Dr.; tickets are $17 to $55. Call 312-292-7578.

For the politically incorrect
Touted as a “sexy, ’60s, jetpack-filled spy show incorporating video, live action and live spy music,” “Fireball” pits a secret agent against Dr. Hammer and his Bikini Army. It’s another politically incorrect mutation from Annoyance Theatre, playing Thursdays for eight weeks at 3747 N. Clark St. Call 312-929-6200.

The two-legged race
Don’t worry, it’s a run for the animals, not a run from the animals–although running from a polar bear might motivate a faster time in the 10K and 5K run Sunday to benefit zoo residents. After the races, which begin at 7 and 8:10 a.m., there will be a half-mile run for kids at 9:30 a.m. Activities continue through the day at Zoofest ’95, with games and music. Race entry fees range from $8 to $20; call 312-404-2372.
