Half a million veterans are expected to attend the dedication of the Korean veterans memorial in July, 39 years after the war’s end. The memorial, intended to honor all branches of the service, depicts two columns of larger-than-life soldiers advancing toward an American flag. President Clinton and South Korean President Kim Young Sam also will attend the ceremonies.
