Michael J. Maretti, 32, of Marengo, died Sunday in St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford after a long illness. He was born in Elgin and was employed as a machinist for Autotrol Corp. of Crystal Lake for 13 years. He is survived by a son, Michael; his parents, Maurine and Mike Maretti; and two sisters. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Highway, Marengo. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 323 N. Taylor St., Marengo.
