Toss out the rule book that says the only pretty woman is a skinny one.
It’s time to celebrate beauty-in all its sizes.
There was a time when larger women were force-fed a battery of fashion do’s and don’t’s. No longer. Now the only rule you need worry about is this: Wear what fits and wear it well.
For spring and summer, whites are right, from cool crisp shades to creamy vanillas, like the clothes pictured here. But on the other hand, if you feel like stepping out in head-to-toe fire engine red, why not?
“You have to take the positive of what you are and what you have and really run with it,” says Bobbi Allen, owner of the Oak Park-based clothing store, Nothing in Moderation.
“If we’re going to take up space, let’s take it up gloriously.”
