When Jackee’ Harry plays sassy mom Lisa Landry on the comedy series “Sister Sister,” that’s not an act – Jacke ‘s funny and sassy in real life, too.

But Jacke says she’s softer than her feisty TV character.

“You don’t get anything being harsh,” she says. “You can’t get it with vinegar, you’ve got to get it with sugar.”

Whatever she uses, she sure has got it. Her acting career has taken her from the bright lights of Broadway to the big screen, where she’s performed in such movies as “The Cotton Club” and “Moscow on the Hudson.” After acting for TV, theater and film, Jacke ‘s decided that film is her favorite. “I gotta admit, I luuuv that big screen,” she says.

Jacke grew up in New York City the youngest of five kids. “Youngest is the best position to be in,” she claims.

“You get spoiled, you get everything, you don’t get blamed for anything.”

When asked what her role in the family was while growing up, she states matter-of-factly, Same as it is now: the favorite.”

Then she gets serious. “I was a bookworm and I used to watch TV 24 hours a day.”

An acting class at age 14 changed her life. “It brought out a part of my personality that I didn’t know I had,” she says. “It took me six months to get up in front of the class and say anything. Once I did, I never stopped.”

In her spare time, Jacke loves to read murder mysteries, play video games (she carries her GameBoy in her purse at all times), travel and, of course, check out her show. Her parting words: “Life is full of ups and downs and all arounds, so hold on tight!”
