Not one of the best plays on Broadway was focused on nudity, sex or violence. Broadway had its best year ever. So why does Time Warner focus on the garbage products of the lunatic fringes? The answer is “that is where the money is.” Why is all that money available? Our kids today have more disposable money than most housewives of yesteryear.
If we want to kill the market for garbage music, raunchy videos, porno/violent movies, we must take away the money! Parents should stop financing the purchases from purveyors of that garbage. If we cut off the money flow, the “artists” will die. Then Sen. Dole can go back to running the Senate, and we can watch our kids reflect the new cultures that emerge. Goodbye to the torn-jeans grungy look and hello to our lost generation.
