Thomas E. Green, a retired Chicago police officer, died Thursday at age 73. A native of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, Mr. Green achieved the rank of captain prior to retiring and moving to Lake Geneva, Wis. He is survived by his wife, Julie; three sons, James, Thomas and Todd; two sisters; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Cooney Funeral Home, 3552 N. Southport Ave. Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 3546 N. Paulina St., Chicago.
