Arthur W. Devermann, 89, a poet laureate for the Addison Street Community Church, died Sunday. Survivors include by his companion, Elsie Griebler; a daughter, Ardith E. Blaa; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago.
