Mignon Yaver, 77, a retired production supervisor with Rand McNally & Co. died Monday in Bethany Terrace Nursing Home in Morton Grove. Mrs. Yaver, a native of Warsaw, was a resident of Skokie. She, her husband, Jack, and her parents escaped to Russia after the Nazi invasion. They returned to Poland after the war and then transferred to a displaced persons camp in Germany. They stayed there until 1949, when they were able to come to Chicago. Mrs. Yaver worked 26 years for Rand McNally and was production supervisor on its annual banking directory. Survivors, besides her husband, include two daughters, Dorie Lerner and Michelle O’Meara; and a granddaughter. Services were held Wednesday.
