Ameritech Corp. agreed to pay $675,000 in fines to federal and state coffers and improve documentation of business transactions between its regulated phone companies and a non-regulated affiliate, under a settlement issued Friday with the Federal Communications Commission and regulators in Ohio and Wisconsin, two of the five states where Ameritech provides local telephone service.
