Friday thunderstorms delayed the launch of the space shuttle Atlantis and its mission to bring home an American astronaut who has been aboard a Russian space station for three months. NASA never even got to fuel Atlantis for Friday evening’s liftoff. On Saturday, NASA planned to try again to send the shuttle on its historic docking mission with Russia’s Mir space station. Launch time would be 3:43 p.m. CDT.
