Your June 20 editorial cartoon of an NRA member being struck in his “thick head” by an armor-piercing bullet was mean-spirited, in poor taste and not particularly funny. The lampoon depicted an overweight, seemingly unintelligent white male wearing an NRA hat.
Although I’m neither a gun owner nor a member of the NRA, I’m grieved that my old hometown newspaper stooped to the level of the so-called hatemongers of talk radio.
All that aside, I enjoy reading the electronic edition of The Chicago Tribune on America Online from Michigan.
