Jeff Conine’s two-run homer sparked a five-run Marlins sixth as Florida pushed the Mets deeper into last place in the NL East.
Conine, who was 3 for 5 and scored three runs, hit his 11th homer of the season 441 feet into the middle deck. Charles Johnson capped the inning with a two-run homer over the left-field scoreboard, his fourth of the season.
Bobby Bonilla homered twice and drove in all four runs for New York.
