I’m writing in reference to a lawsuit waiting to happen. I have been riding on the bike path along the lakefront for several years now. There has been a 1-by-2-foot hole in the concrete at Fullerton Parkway for as long as I have been riding the path. I asked a lifeguard about it, and he said the hole has been there for seven years. I am amazed that the hole has been there that long.
I do not want to see anyone hit the hole and get severely injured, nor do I think our tax dollars should be used to pay for a lawsuit that can easily be avoided.
