Additions and renovations to Eisenhower and Sullivan Schools, costing close to $3 million, will be nearly completed by fall, said District 23 Supt. Ronald Bearwald.
Two classrooms and a learning center are planned for Eisenhower. The existing learning center will be converted into a fine-arts and music center.
The Sullivan gymnasium is being converted into a learning center. Sullivan pupils will share the gym at neighboring Ross School, Bearwald said. In addition, three classrooms are being added, one of which will be used to bring the district’s early-childhood program back to Sullivan.
