Accused arsonist Daniel Jayne is scheduled to appear in court to face charges that he torched a Prairie View stable in 1987, killing 26 horses. Jayne is the grandnephew of the late notorious horseman Silas Jayne. Daniel Jayne was indicted along with three others in Lake County, a spinoff of the federal probe that has led to the indictments of some 29 people across the country. Grand jury investigations continue in Cook and DuPage counties.
