Scattered power outages affected more than 3,000 customers Monday afternoon and evening, according to Commonwealth Edison. The biggest incident took place in Harvard, in McHenry County, when 3,000 customers were without power from 12:30 to 2:25 p.m., said Edison spokesman Art Massa. In Arlington Heights, 600 customers were without power between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. In Hoffman Estates, about 60 customers were without power from 7 to at least d9:30 p.m. in an area bounded by Hassell Road to Rosedale Lane, Hilltop Road to Carling Road. In Roselle, 30 customers were without power from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m.
