On July 11 President Clinton announced the “normalization of trade agreement” between the United States and Vietnam. I have yet to hear any public outcry against such an agreement. As a decorated combat veteran of the “war” in Vietnam, I would like to go on record as one opposed to this atrocity.

Although I also have a genuine concern for all MIAs and POWs, today I speak for the silent 58,000-plus who were killed. I pray they didn’t die for Whoppers, Pepsi and 36-acre resorts in Da Nang.
