When I saw your Page 1 headline on Aug. 8 (“We had sex, she testifies”), I couldn’t believe this was my favorite common-sense newspaper. A brief glance through the story, with its sleaze, sex and sensationalism, convinced me the Tribune had descended to the abyss of the tabloids. The whole Reynolds-Heard affair deserves no more than a few columns on the back pages.
I sincerely hope you will get over this temporary lapse and return to being Chicago’s best and most respected newspaper.
