Construction on an 85-acre residential development near Kirk Road and Main Street could begin later this year.
David Faganel, executive vice president of Faganel Builders of Winfield, said he hopes to begin putting up model homes by this winter for the Kingswood development. The development, being built along with Russell Builders, would include 156 single-family homes and 91 townhouses.
The development site, located behind Charlestown Mall, is a former farm.
The project has already won the approval of the city’s Plan Commission and is scheduled for consideration by the City Council early next month.
