Darlene E. Petersen, 60, of Crystal Lake, a former real estate agent and retail store manager, died Sunday in Woodstock after a long illness. She was born in Madison, Wis., and formerly lived in Livonia, Mich., and Raleigh, N.C. She is survived by two daughters, Lynne and Kristen Ruiz; a son, Donald; and a brother. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Flagg Funeral Home, 2 N. Williams St., Crystal Lake. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Bethany Lutheran Church, 76 W. Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake.
