Warren J. McCarthy, 71, of Crystal Lake, a retired employee of B&R Erectors Inc. of Crystal Lake, died Wednesday in Sherman Hospital in Elgin. He was born in Woodstock, was a World War II Army veteran and was a former owner of Mac’s Mobil service station in Crystal Lake. He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, Michael, Patrick and Dennis; three daughters, Claire Personette, Janice and Theresa; a brother; five sisters; and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Querhammer Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
