I just returned from a trip to Sioux Falls, S.D., on Interstate Highway 90. Five tolls–a total of $2–to get to the Illinois border. That’s about 90 miles, and not even a rest stop.

Another 510 miles through Wisconsin, Minnesota and South Dakota– beautiful rest areas and nary a toll.

Now if these three states can provide beautiful highways, rest stops and no tolls, where is our toll money going? I think we need an audit like the Board of Education’s.
