Texas Instruments Inc., taking aim at the growing retail market for notebook computers, introduced the Extensa family of computers, with prices starting at $1,799. In the past, Texas Instruments has built only high-powered notebook computers that have sold for $5,000 or more. Texas Instruments said the 75-megahertz model will come with a dual-scan color monitor.
