The Stormwater Management Committee reviewed the status of several flood-control projects Wednesday night.
Some committee members earlier in the day toured the Wood Dale-Itasca Reservoir, which Fred Vogt, director of city services, said is three-quarters complete.
DuPage County started expanding the reservoir in July. Workers have removed 150,000 cubic yards of dirt and plan to take out another 50,000. The county also is designing a pump station that may be constructed next year, Vogt said.
The reservoir is one of a series of projects that the county has undertaken for flood control.
“This (reservoir) will tie in with the quarry in Elmhurst and with the Louis Reservoir in Addison,” Vogt said.
