Sheriff’s police on Sunday were investigating a weekend auto accident that killed a 37-year-old Lockport man.
Eugene D. Paulsen was pronounced dead at 3:30 a.m. Saturday at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, less than an hour after the truck he was driving north on High Road in Lockport Township veered off the pavement and struck a tree.
Investigators do not know why Paulsen apparently lost control of his Toyota pickup truck, which crashed about one-quarter mile south of Woodbrook Lane.
The Will County coroner will do an autopsy.
