Melville Corp. said Tuesday it would split into three publicly traded firms, separating CVS drugstores, Thom McAn shoes and Kay-Bee Toys.
The drugstore chain would include CVS, home furnishings retailer Linens `n Things and casual clothing seller Bob’s. The shoe company would contain Thom McAn and Meldisco. Kay-Bee’s would be the third firm.
