The average American appears totally disgusted with the gridlock between the president and Congress. Perhaps if Shakespeare were alive today, he would sum up the general feeling by using a line from Mercutio, in “Romeo and Juliet,” who, upon being stabbed, rails, “A plague on both your houses!” I think most Americans would be in perfect agreement.
