As an Indiana resident, I must say I am appalled at the arrogance of a group of businessmen who are proposing a stadium to lure the Bears over here.
As if it isn’t bad enough that the CEO of NIPSCO Industries is paid out of my utility bills, (it is a utility monopoly, so I have no choice,) and that I no doubt helped pay for the plans for this monstrosity, now they plan to use tax dollars to fund their preposterous playground for the Bears.
If the Bears want a new stadium, then let them build it. It’s time all taxpayers stand up to this extortion by sports teams and say, “Enough is enough.”
If I lived in Illinois, I would tell the Bears to take a hike, and don’t let the door hit you . . . on the way out.
And Indiana should tell them they are welcome to come here and build a stadium as long as they pay for it.
Otherwise, stay home!
