Aurora Christian posted a 32-2 record–best in school history–and finished second in Class A last season but returns only sixth man Julian Harrell (7.4 ppg, 3.8 rpg). Aaron Sovern was a finalist in last year’s three-point shooting contest at state, but again, Aurora will be hardpressed to match last season, when it set a state record with 250 three-pointers (out of 620). Guard depth and defensive quickness promise to be strenghts.

Two starters–Derek Bills and Eric Austin–return from a 19-10 Providence team that reached the sectional finals. Senior Kenny Davis, sixth man last year, will need to step up.

Illinois Math and Science returns junior David Bernal (6-6, 220) and sixth man Aaron Winkler, lacks depth.

Randy Anderson (13 ppg, 12.5 rpg) and Brent Mischnick (14.5 ppg) are back for Luther East, 6-17 a year ago.

Mooseheart is counting on the experience of Joe Renegar (15 ppg), Bill Croff (12) and Shawn Short to improve on a 9-10 mark.
