After leading by as many as 18 points in the first half Saturday night, the Wildcats unraveled and lost in an exhibition game in Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Geno Carlisle led the Wildcats with 20 points and six assists, but the sophomore guard also produced six of their 23 turnovers.
A bright spot was the inside game, which was one of NU’s shortcomings last season. In the forefront were 6-foot-10-inch freshman Joe Harmsen with 12 points and 10 rebounds and 7-foot senior Dan Kreft with 10 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots.
