Ald. Dorothy Tillman (3rd) was arrested Saturday while campaigning for Congress in front of a West Side grocery, police said.
Tillman, 48, was charged with a misdemeanor for criminal trespassing to property at an Aldi store, 3835 W. Madison St., said Harrison Area Sgt. John Kenny. She was distributing campaign literature on store property and refused to leave when asked by an Aldi employee, Kenny said.
Tillman is running in the 7th Congressional District for the seat soon to be vacated by Rep. Cardiss Collins (D-Ill).
