OK — drum roll, please — we have a winner! Zach Chapman of New Kensington, Pa., was first to get the “Mortal Kombat 3” encryption codes to us. He wins a game for his Super NES.
And now for a new contest. Starting this month, the reader who sends us the best tip of the month will win a game for the system of their choice. Be original, please — send passwords you’ve discovered, or level codes, or play tips to get through tough areas of your favorite games. As always, we’ll print the best stuff.
And now the “MK3” codes, courtesy of Zach Chapman:
The trick here is to enter the encryption codes with the symbols, using low punch, block, and low kick buttons, on both sides of the screen. The numbers show how many times each button should be pressed, from 0-9. Advance through the list in reverse by holding up on your directional controller.
