Guy Beecher Howard, 79, a former national sales manager for Durkee Famous Foods, died Monday in Heartland Health Center in Homewood. After Mr. Howard retired from Durkee Famous Foods in 1988, he continued to be a consultant in the food industry. He lived in Chicago Heights for 35 years. Mr. Howard was past Master of the Triune Lodge 422 A.F.& A.M. Survivors include his wife, Lucille, a daughter, Michele Howard Martin; a son, Michael; a brother; and three sisters. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Tews Funeral Home, 18230 S. Dixie Highway, Homewood. Masonic services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 18850 S. Riegel Rd., Homewood.
