Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
For many years I’ve been complaining about erratic CTA bus service. And I have written several letters to CTA management.
However, for the past six months, I’ve sat in the front of the bus so I can see what the driver sees:
– Ignorant drivers who insist on passing the bus in heavy traffic.
– Drivers who turn recklessly in front of the bus or who impatiently pull out of side streets, blocking the bus.
– Passengers who don’t have their fares ready, won’t move to the rear or refuse to exit from the rear door.
All of this means delays. A CTA driver needs 10 eyes to handle passengers and traffic. And a courteous driver has the patience of a saint.
