Birthday: Sept. 21, 1960.
Birthplace: Toronto, Canada.
Occupation: Actor.
Current home: Los Angeles.
Marital status: Married to Nancy Chambers for four years.
Children: A daughter, 2 1/2.
Car: A gold 1990 BMW 325i convertible.
Working on: I play Lt. Harmon Rabb on “JAG.”
I stay home to watch: I try to get an overview of what’s on. I cruise the channels.
Favorite childhood memory: My father is Bahamian and we went (to the Bahamas) a lot when I was little. All my relatives are there and I have a house there now; I go to Duck Cay, a really private little island whenever I need to find some peace.
Prized possession: My book collection. I started it when I started to read.
Personal heroes: Henry David Thoreau and Mark Twain.
Nobody knows I: Turned 35 this year.
I wish I could start: Sleeping in. I stopped all the things I want to stop. I also wish I could break 80 playing golf.
If I could do it over: I would have left Canada earlier and come to Mecca.
My fantasy is: I’m living in the Bahamas, fishing, diving, kicking back.
The worst advice my mother ever gave me: “Expect the worst and maybe you’ll be surprised.”
The one thing I can’t stand: People who don’t give 100 percent.
People who knew me in high school thought I: Would never amount to much. I was dreamy.
My most irrational act: Going to theater school.
If I wasn’t an actor: I’d like to be a writer. That will happen.
If I’ve learned one thing in life it’s: That everything is going to be OK if I just listen to my gut, live in the now and not get caught up in projecting. Things happen for a reason and turn out the way they’re supposed to.
Major accomplishment: Succeeding (in Los Angeles).
Three words that best describe me: Off the cuff.
