During a routine traffic stop last Friday, Gurnee police discovered a pay phone and its adjoining pole in the back seat of the driver’s car. The phone, valued at $2,300, was traced to the Mobil gas station at 1185 W. Park Ave. It recently had been reported missing. While police refused to offer any details on the arrest, a suspect is being investigated. Police are considering charging the driver with possession of stolen property.
