Chester Teeple, 78, a former director of purchasing at Velsicor Chemical Corp. in Chicago, died Tuesday in Brandel Care Center, Northbrook. Mr. Teeple lived in Chicago’s northern suburbs since 1952, when he moved to Wilmette from Akron. He was in the Navy in World War II and was recalled to active duty during the Korean War. Mr. Teeple is survived by his wife of 52 years, Anne; two daughters, Julie and Christie; and seven grandchildren. Services were held Friday in Kenilworth.
